This position is responsible for the maintenance and project development of the electrical system.
In addition, the Electrical Engineer is responsible for reducing electrical costs and improving equipment reliability.
The Electrical Engineer role is based in Fleetwood, PA and reports directly to the Electrical Maintenance Manager.
What you'll get to dooGuide electricians and trades helpers in the repair, maintenance, and installation of electrical and control systems oEnsure the operational viability of the plant by evaluating and maintaining the proper functioning of all electrical and control systemsoWith the Maintenance Planner, design and coordinate corrective maintenance projectsoDesign and implement electrical engineering projectsoCoordinate and supervise contractors for electrical projectsoSupport and consult plant management in the field of electrical engineering for the optimization of plant operationoMaintain records and update technical documentation and drawingsoProvide ongoing maintenance support to the plant for all shifts by participating in the plant's on-call program which involves evaluating and determining the course of action for maintenance incidents after hours and on weekends, at times requiring on-site supervision of the resolutionEssential Experience and SkillsoBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering oAt least 3 years of electrical engineering experience preferredoAt least 2 years of experience in heavy manufacturing preferredoStrong project management skillsoProficient with Microsoft OfficeoFluent with NEC, NFPA, and ISAoCAD softwareoFamiliar with PLC/DCS and HMI architectureoGood familiarity with the operation and maintenance of common electrical equipment such as power distribution systems, breakers, high voltage systems, air condition and pressurization systems, variable speed medium voltage drives/motors, transformers, switchgear, MCC equipment, and power monitoring and communication systemsoThorough understanding of system analytical studies including short circuit, coordination, load flow, motor starting, and arc flashPreferred Experience and Skills oCement manufacturing experienceoCemat S7 oSAPWork EnvironmentoRole operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.
